Awawo’s ambitious dream of tapping into international markets was fired up when we showcased our products at the Intra-Africa Trade Fair (IATF2023) in Cairo, Egypt, in 2023. Awawo was one of the youth-led exhibitors at the fair, thanks to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), in collaboration with the African Union and the AfCFTA Secretariat, organized the 3rd Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2023), hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt. IATF2023 provided a unique and valuable platform for Awawo to access an integrated African market of over 1.3 billion people with a GDP of over US$3.5 trillion, created under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
